INDEPENDENT OPEN COLOR GUARD

One of the Green Machine Ensembles. A championship guard built on artistry, precision, and the people who keep showing up. Still chasing the floor.

THE PROGRAM

Born from the roar of a Final Four. Built into a world champion.

George Mason Winter Guard is one of the Green Machine Ensembles, the spirit program ignited by Mason's 2006 NCAA Final Four run and later named the nation's #1 pep band. In 2019, the guard won the WGI Independent Open World Championship and earned promotion to the sport's highest class.

A program built on people, not rosters. Mason students, performers from colleges across the country, and members not enrolled anywhere at all share the same floor. Wherever you're coming from, there's a place for you here.

TRACK RECORD

THE RECORD

A first finals appearance, a world title, a promotion to the sport's highest class, and a return to the Open floor. The climb, year by year.

THE FLOOR IS WAITING.
